David A. Schlessinger, M.D., F.A.A.C.S.

David A. Schlessinger, M.D., F.A.A.C.S. is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Schlessinger received his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh - School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his Fellowship training at the University of Minnesota in Eyelid Plastic Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology. In addition to being the Director of his private practice, Dr. Schlessinger teaches Eyelid Plastic Surgery to Ophthalmology Residents on Long Island & New York City. Dr. Schlessinger has been awarded the prestigious "Outstanding Clinician of the Year" award.

Dr. Schlessinger specializes in a variety of facial cosmetic procedures including, but not limited to: Blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin/bags around the eyes), Eyelid Reconstruction, Brow Lift, Mid Facelift, Thread Lift and Laser Skin Resurfacing. Paul Krawitz, M.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Paul Krawitz is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of The University of Michigan, and received his medical degree in 1985. He is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. 

He has been a partner of Huntington Eye Care Associates since 1993. In that time, he has become one of Long Island’s most highly sought and professionally recognized eye surgeons.  Dr. Krawitz performs over 1000 ophthalmic procedures annually, including no-stitch cataract surgery, the most modern therapies for glaucoma, laser refractive surgery, and laser treatment of both macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He performs oculoplastic surgery (plastic surgery of the eyelids), including cosmetic and medical therapy with BOTOX®.

Gregory C. Persak, MD, FACS

Dr. Persak is one of the founding partners at the Center for Eye Care and Optical. Dr. Persak specializes in cataract, refractive surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology including glaucoma treatment. He obtained his B.A. from Boston University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He attended Boston University Medical School and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Persak us a board certified Ophthalmologist with more than twenty years experience having preformed thousands of ophthalmologic microsurgeries. He has served on the faculty at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and is currently on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and Southside Hospital.

David J. Weissberg, M.D.

Dr. Weissberg graduated with a Doctorate Degree from SUNY Downstate, and completed his residency at Stony Brook's University Hospital. Dr. Weissberg is a general orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in shoulder, spine, knee, hip, hand, and foot surgery. Dr. Weissberg is Board Ceritfied by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Stephen Greenberg, M.D.

Dr. Greenberg is Board Certified in ophthalmology. He attended the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and received his ophthalmology training at Montefiore Hospital. His special interest include cataract surgery.

David L. Benisch, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. David L. Benisch received his doctorate degree from the State University of NY Down State Medical Center in 1973. From there, he would complete both his internship and the first year of residency in general surgery at Rhode Island Hospital. He finished his final three years of residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in 1979. That same year, Dr. Benisch established himself as a private practitioner in general and vascular surgery, where he has over 25 years of experience. In addition to being a member of the staff at the Melville Surgery Center, Dr. Benisch currently serves as an attending physician at both Huntington Hospital and NSUH at Syosset.
